It doesn't, but getting back to the Barn, it does look like it's going to be the cheaper option of a 'long straw' re-thatch.

If thats the lower estimate price I have seen of £100-£150 per square meter, they should be able to do the whole roof for the £80,000 mentioned

'Long straw' can have a life of as little as 15 years so the fact that it wasn't 'planed in' is unbelievable.
