Hmmm. I was down there recently and saw the building work going on for the barefoot. It looked quite impressive. Quite shocked by this news.

It was nice to see the Barge lit up on the outside as darkness fell at Adam's Grave, and headlights snake their way up the hill then on towards Boreham. The George at Hilcot is long gone, the New Inn at Marden now the foodie Millstream, so it'll have to be the Swan at Wilcot or Barney's (Kings) at All Cannings for that pint of 6X! Not that I drink the odd pint you understand.

Aye, we were there in July and things didn’t look too good then – as if they were just sort of hanging on. It’s a real pity, the place is right by the canal, with plenty of space at the back for camping and concerts. It has/had such great potential (not to mention history) and it’ll be a real shame if it's gone under.
