Bonkers it may well be but people are still using it in modern books (you'll be unsurprised to hear I expect) ie 'Spirit of the Stones' which I recently had hold of. Perhaps they haven't noticed we've discovered a few more planets since.

Subtitled Visions of Sacred Britain
Foreword by Uri Geller *

Ah, didn't know - thanks. There's a review of the book by Tim (Prevett) at http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=2146410783

And you've probably heard that a (possible) new planet named Sedna has recently been discovered some three times further away than Pluto and similar in size.** There are a couple of paintings in Shanghai Museum dating from the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) that show the male and female deities Fuxi and Nuwa in a coiled embrace; between and above them is the sun with eleven planets circling it - what goes around comes around :-)
