Have to agree, yesterday was the stuff of things wot make us remember that line "If a June night could talk,
it would probably boast it invented romance"
We too were fortunate to be a-wandering yesterday afternoon. Discovered an old wood for the first time on the bakns of the Sabrina, set in some ancient parkland.
They were deep oak woods with pools running through like a chain of dark pearls surrounded by all manner of grasses and trees. Silent and still except for echoing birdsong and huge ripples and splashes made by the bigger carp that were rolling at the poolside, under branches.
And yes, that moon, expectant and smiling down even as the sky was still blue. Enchantment. Not a stone standing :-)
