I wondered why it had not been mentioned anywhere else before.
I've been checking my own air photos of the area but nothing really shows.
I'll get back in the air when the frost is on the ground for another looksee.

Where is the Skinner material available? (He was an ancestor of my wife's)

Small world indeed! The Rev Skinner's drawing is apparently in the British Museum, according to the EH/RCHME site record. I presume (without checking) that this info comes from Grinsell, probably the barrow lists in the VCH volume 1. However, assuming I haven't got my Skinners in a twist, I believe that the collection of the Rev. John Skinner, Rector of Camerton, Somerset is actually in the British Library (http://www.bl.uk/).
