Is that a long barrow I see before me - straight up the track from Faulkner's Circle (and just below the two round barows at the summit)? If so, is it at least as old or perhaps even older than East and West Kennet?
no.
It's a boundary earthwork according to Josh pollard.
I noticed it this spring and walked up to it.
It looks like 2 barrows together from the side looking down on it.
From the air it looks like a small long barrow.
as usual no one has investigated it yet,
Regards,
Pete
I wonder do you mean at SU11697003?
If so then the MAGIC site has this http://www.magic.gov.uk/rsm/21731.pdf which says it's three confluent round barrows.
