Somehow I've managed to get a clear 4 day easter weekend so I'm heading over to Avebury area for a long day. I'm hoping to see a few of the sites I havn't managed to see yet and I'm wondering if anyone had any more to add I should see.

I'm hoping to see:
- Mother's Jam / The Polisher
- Winterbourne Bassett stone circle

In the past I've 'done':
Avebury, WK LB, Adam's Grave, Windmill Hill, The Longstones, WK avenue, Silbury, The Santuary & Devils Den.

dont forget to pop round and see how the work on the cove's going. notd was there today and said they seem to be having wobble problems.

I can heartily recommend the polisher stone. It sounds like you've been to lots of the local sites already. You could always be our intrepid reporter and check out what the church with its sarsen stones (and nearby spring) is like at Alton Prior? I don't know if anyone else has been there..?
