If you plan well you can see a lot in a week on Dartmoor. It's a fabulous place and some of the best have already been mentioned here.

TMA is a good guide to the area. Of course, don't forget your OS maps and a good compass. It's been years since I was on Dartmoor and it is one of the (many) places on my 'must return to one day' list.

Surely someone must know of a local book for local people!?
