Dartmoor: anyone recognise this?

Yep indeedy-do! Yellowmead is the so-called "cairn circle" marked on the map... bit misleading, I suppose, but then there's a circle in Cornwall that is SO OBVIOUSLY a stone circle, and is marked on the Explorer map as fkn "tumuli"!!! (And, sweet christ, I can't remember for the life of me where it is now! I'll have a search back through me holiday snaps....)

I'm gonna go and have a proper look at the area one day... looks like there's plenty to see and the surroundings are fabulous. We set off from Yellowmead to <a href="http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/1371">Drizlecombe</a> but it was getting late and we were still about a million miles from home so we went back to the car. :(

Dartmoor is beautiful.

I aim to get up there sometime in the next few weeks. Tended to ignore Dartmoor in favour of Bodmin Moor over the last couple of years, easier to access and plenty to keep me busy up there.

Still much to see on Bodmin Moor so don't expect too much from Dartmoor at the moment but I will see what I can do.
