Hi George.... I'm doing a bit of research into the Brigantian uprisings against Rome at the moment and am particularly interested in the 69/70/71AD uprising by Venutius. I've managed to find bits of info on the web, n' there is a brief mention in 'Brigantia', but wondered if you had any info or references I may not have found so far that you could recommend?

Oh god, how long have you got?

What about the pre-invasion cavalry armour found at Grinton far from the Roman lines. Taken to be "battle spoils" hideen by a Brigantian treasure horder after the Roman group had been killed in battle - this was Websters conclusion, kind of.

Though I have not begun to research the 70's, most of my work so far has been 50's-60's oriented and largely based on widespread surveys of the east of Brigantia.

I am fairly confident that the south eastern border of Brigantia in AD 60-70 was Sheffield - Doncaster - Humber and followed the major rivers.
