Hi Mirla

As has already been said there are three confirmed henges in the county, Castilly, Castlewich and the Stipple Stones. All three can be found on this website. I am also putting forward my 'henge' on Bodmin Moor until anyone tells me otherwise!

I have not visited Castilly or Castlewich but the Stipple Stones is a great site..but not that easy to get to..
I have not yet had a look at Tye farm and St Newlyn is a new one to me..

Mr H , I had a look on GE but resolution is'nt good enough to pick it out so guessed at a spot SX 17425 70416 which must be quite close . If so the orientation Henge (poss) - Brown Gelly (highest point )gives a declination 28.8 which is no good for the summer solstice sun but is closer to the summer major moonrise which would be 28 degrees dec .

Unfortunatly the only time I got up there for the summer solstice it was foggy as hell and i had enough trouble finding the site let alone seeing anything rise!

To me it is not so much Brown Gelly as the row of hills/tors on the eastern skyline..they all line up with a even gap (to the human eye)between them from north to south (Kilmar to Caradon Hill).

I would just like someone else to have a look at the sight and tell me if I am being stupid....
