We call it Hurling in Cornwall...hence the stones of the same name...It still happens in St Columb and St Ives, but instead of a ball stitched up by an old granny we use a silver ball down here. Same rules though..goals at either end of the village..and it still goes on.

It's the best explanation yet for those carved granite balls that are found in Scotland, mainly. Good to know it's still going on. Even if my apostrophe's slipped ( http://www.bagame.com/ ).
