I didn't realise they owned them either or that you weren't supposed to enter the middle one. When i went for the first time 5 years ago access to the middle one was over i stile i think and i'm sure there was a footpath or something (sorry rubbish memory!).

Is there any reason they don't allow access? Has the gravel extraction got even closer?
