Sorry, I don't know who is actually involved in Heritage Action (apart from one or two friends), so didn't know that. Anyhow, no harm in having other interests and curiosities outside wanting to save these sites is there?

Surely if they were banging on about these issues here all the time they'd make themselves unpopular anyway?

Sorry if this seems a bit naive of me, but I've always thought (from what little I know) that H.A. were a pretty admirable bunch, and didn't understand why you appeared to think otherwise.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Just had a look thru their little website & find no names, contact phone numbers, etc. A bit strange.

You could be right. But their site says they've not done owt regarding Thornbro for more than 2 years. Odd. I know there are other people who've tried to stop the quarrying near the henges. I wonder if HA's engaged pro-actively with them. They could tell us p'raps? Surely if different people work together, addressing isues relating to people's respective strengths, it's more effective. Though we all know that sometimes 'personalities' get in the way. Maybe that's happened. I dunno. They haven't said. Anyway, it'd be good to hear what their next move is going to be. We've gotta wish them the best with their next proposals which, you'd think, they've already got in the pipeline. I'd certainly be willing to help 'em. I'm sure there's lots of folk who would. Let's wait and hear their next move. Look forward to it!

all the best - Paul
