Interestingly, Foxhunting has only 10% "No" votes, whereas Thornborough has 19%.

Now why would so many people go out of their way to say Thornborough was unimportant?

Maybe we should nominate gravel as an icon, and see what happens?

LOL!!!

The foxhunting vote has a high "yes" vote because the foxhunting community (mentality) communicated the message to vote that way to their "members". If all anti-foxhunters had been informed to vote "no", then the result would be different. Unfortunately, the title of the poll doesn't make people think of protesting by a "no" vote.
The foxhunters are approaching the first anniversary of their defeat, and are trying to give the impression that the majority are for it by voting en-mass for it as the top icon of England.
I think that's an action of people who know they're in the wrong, but seek to justify their actions by saying, "Well, everyone else likes it." The R*mans liked feeding people live to the lions.......now there's an idea of how to give foxhunters a taste of their own medicine.
Sorry for the politics.
