That's all very cool indeed. I'm extremely glad the alignments have been confirmed.


(However ...

I sill think this is open to interpretation. The rising of various stars at certain times could have been used to mark the start of a bullfighting festival for instance, a thing that a henge is very suited to.)

As ever 4W I sit between two fences and currently the popularist fence is the one I'm pushing.

By the way, if ever you want to write a book entitled "the weird and wonderful alternative interpretations of Thornborough" I have all the source material you would ever need. There are at least 10 different alternative theories regarding thornbrough. Each proponent is convinced, if only I'd tell the world about them the henges would be saved in no time.

Mind, no-one has suggested that they are evidence of alien visits yet......
