No, this is the level of accuracy that may be found in the lunar alignments. That's why it was a Golden Age and it's taken us this long - four thousand years - to unravel it. Our incredulity is just a mark of cultural arrogance.

If this is real it's cleverer than a lunar alignment, where you line up to a particular spot.
This is assessing a pretty subtle angle you see in the sky, drawing it (presumably) pretty accurately and then reproducing it on a huge scale from your drawing, retaining your drawing's level of accuracy.

I don't think it's cause for cultural arrogance, more a cause to say "Blimey! how did you do that?!"
