What's that about crop circles? I haven't seen the picture you refer to, but almost without exception farmers use tramlining to apply fertiliser and pesticides to crops. Anyone can walk along a tramline without leaving footprints and any crop circle of significance would cross over at least one of them. I haven't yet seen a crop circle that couldn't have been created by hoaxers.

I don't think the Solstice was the 21st of June this year. The first image discloses the traces of a round structure on the lower left of the crop circle. The close up of the damage done to the wheat in the field, further down this page, is quite convincing - and consistent with other records. There's a link, on the crop circle website, to a Canadian website - that has a useful collection of data !
