well I think you're very noble and intelligent to be able to take this huge thing on and I hope you've got lots of local support. And now on the tv -that is excellent and you must feel proud of what you've done to raise awareness of the whole issue locally whatever the outcome (positive I hope).
And incidentally, getting your rubbish down to one bagful - that's amazing. We recycle lots of things but produce much more than that. I guess it's partly about buying the right things in the first place. Anyway, brilliant.
Good luck

I totally agree. BN you deserve an award. How about number two, here...

I'm sure the sponsors of it would welcome your nomination.

Seconded!!!

Many plastics can not be recycled, something I only realised after I got involved with the campaign, this makes things a lot easier.

Just because I have a public (well here anuway) persona and a kick ass attitude (sometimes) don't think I'm the only one involved. I know you know that, but there are actually some people who are so assertive they dare to push me! We had one chap for example who distributed 3,000 leaflets door to door in just three days - constantly asking for more leaflets. The great thing about the online petition is you get immediate feedback from the villages covered. There are also huge numbers of anonymous people who are getting it the groove. I was sent two emails today asking me to sign my own petition!
