I should add, that if this rather nice picture of the central henge at Thornborough inspires you to want to save the enviropnment of these unique henges from the quarrying that is taking place right now, please write to the people listed on our website asking for their reassurance that they will do all that is in their power to stop any further quarrying.

I was at Thornborough on Monday night, found the northern henge in the wood, but was looking in completely the wrong place for the others. I was looking at the nature reserve to the south west, spoke to a twitcher and he knew no better.
I have the chance of possibly going there again on Thursday evening, dependant on a few other factors.
This time I'll take a map!!!!

Man made, I'm afraid, not with a spade, but a board.
Some rope or string to mark out the thing
Then flattened with a five foot wide plank
But the press are keen so these humans I thank!

It's quite a pretty one isn't it.

I love the way that the diagram (taken from a photograph) has a copyright notice on it. What a load of bollocks!

How did you know the plank was 5ft long? :-)
