Yes - far worse. Has the planning application been submitted?

I note the Washland Project glossy brochure boasts an impressive range of supporters (quarry companies, the Environment Agency, County Council, English Nature...) but it is interesting to note they cannot add English Hertiage (or is that 'yet'?!).

Planning permission has not been submitted. They are waiting for the fuss to die down.

The best bit is the relationship between the landfill company which is 51% owned by NYCC and the Swale and Ure Washlands Trust.
