I slept up there once, years ago, and it feels as though the place has been habited for a long time - unlike Arthur's Mount, in Edinburgh, for instance, which is wild. But images of the tower, on Glastonbury Tor, against a full moon, and the barred entrances do create the impression of 'unwelcome internment', though the sense-perception, in the field, is one of scholastic retirement.
