I spent two days there June out of the seven, loved the place but never asked the question at the time and never thought of it to be honest! Damn hard work if they were!

Just found this. It looks like some must have been. That's a dig and half isn't it...wow! Can you imagine digging a socket out for a stone here.

Did you visit The Comet Stone whilst there...and if so can you say if you noticed any carvings on it(apart from modern graffiti)...
