Come to think of it I've not really seen any reference to
either of these two sites either, and they're pretty close by:

The one and only reference I've seen to the latter is as
a landmark to help find Oddendale circle. I think it was
described as an erratic, but it struck me as being
remarkably similar to the many Thunder Stones that are
scattered about the Shap area.

Yeh, I noticed those two on my way to the Oddendale circle and wondered why I hadn`t heard of them before.

The first site is lovely - it looks like a ring cairn in one picture and a small circle with a central stone, or stones, in the other. The wall behind is in what is often called the Westmorland style. Field clearance stones - not many throughs.

Oddendale will be 'Woden Dale' then ? 100% Norse.
