From what I remember, there was a jumble of rocks that may possibly, once have been a circle... not as well defined as the Grubstones. I don't remember a noticeable standing stone, but that doesn't mean there wasn't one. Some low boulders looked like they may have been placed and there may have been more under the heather. Hard to remember now - must be well over a decade since I last visited the spot.

No, I haven't been onto Rivock Edge. Went into the woods once with the intention of finding carvings, but the mozzies drove me away before I found anything. Didn't make it back that way on last few visits. I hear Rivock Edge - or at least the plantation - is up for sale? Area is said to be haunted by a figure in a grey cloak... reckon it's just some geezer trying to keep the mozzies off meself! :)

Andy (Kozmik Ken is my posh nom de plume!)

The first time I went to Bradup the whole area was covered in heather too and I found some of those rocks but I don't remember seeing any upright stones either. The last time I went the place looked like it had been cleared by fire and the boulders really stood out, the area to the east of the fence where Bennett says the circle was *supposed* to be had been freshly ploughed. I still don't know if those stones were from the circle and had just been cleared out of the way - I'd love to know the truth. Maybe Moth can figure it out :-)
Hmm, I think I remember hearing about the sale of the land on Rivock Edge but I can't remember when or where from. Having tried to find carved rocks in a forest before I know it's a real bugger of a job, it's difficult to work out distances etc and the GPS just goes into a tailspin under that tree cover . . .
