Not recently, but we did visit in 1998 and as you say it was very close to the road, but we had trouble finding it because of the sunken roadway/high hedges.

We're a little worried as the single 2008 photo on MA shows only four stones, there were five when we visited:-

We were using GPS for the first time and remember it didn't seem to be where Burl's map ref stated, unfortunately we didn't take a GPS fix. Our Cork Archaeological Inventory gives W 4154 8011 for this circle.
