Um, maybe I'm oversensitive, but what a strange way to phrase it! ;^) I think you'll find a lot of us have visited quite a few hillforts other than Maiden Castle & aren't afraid of a bit of a walk! (Tho actually, I've never got round to going up Maiden Castle! LOL!) :^)

There's so many hillforts in Northumberland, I don't pay attention to them anymore. Mind you, that's also partly 'cos most of them are a bit duff in comparison to those big earthworky jobbies down south ;)
