Without a body it is always tempting, but never easy, to say that a head is 'Celtic'.

Although the outline is reminiscent of some so-called Celtic heads the other feature don't look right to me.

I could be wrong of course :-)

There's a Celtic Head in Bolton, not all that far from the stones. It's a small carved stone and is built into the wall of a farmhouse, quite high up. Nobody knows it's there ...

Flicking through a few webpages (inc BriganteNations), I can't find any that match the design of the Oldbury ones. The Celtic ones seem to be more accurate & less stylised than the ones I saw..
