Kinda saddens me to read that conversation from 2003. A load of water has passed under the bridge since then. Not entirely unrelated to me wanting to sell the bloody clock :-)

I know what you mean... I felt the same when I read it. I think it was one of the first threads I joined in with! I might be wrong. A lot has changed since then, sadly. Ah, well.

I highly recommend the clock, incidentally. Beautifully made. :) A great talking point!
