Thank for the swift response. I'm afraid I didn't find the Hawkstone I was just following TMA yesterday. That will be a future mission I shall definately go back to the Hoar Stone it is an excellent place and the weather yesterday was superb aswell. At least it was until I got to Lyneham Longbarrow where I got drenched so I didn't hang around long. It cleared up though by the time I got to the Rollrights and I had a good hour or so up there before the sun went down.

Sorry you didn't make it to the Hawk stone, it truly is worth the effort, take a bottle of wine, some cheese and watch the sun go down....

Any road up, I have a colleague who on her way to work every morning drives from Enstone to Charlbury and i said to her 'you must drive past the Hoar Stone every morning, lucky you!" And she says "uh? what's that", so I explain precisely where it is and next morning she comes in and says " how the fuck did I miss that all this time?!"

Weird - its camoflague works like that of an elephant!
