I'm totally new here and only found the site because I was looking for photos of Badbury Clump. Finding none, I took some on Sunday and put them on a web site...

http://badburyclump.mysite.freeserve.com/

Would these be suitable for inclusion on the site? and how do I submit a report on the site, please?

We have just moved to North Wiltshire and find that walking the dog and visiting hillforts combine nicely (so long as no-one is grazing sheep on the hillfort!)

Quite like your photos....hill forts are not easy subjects to take but you seem to have captured the atmosphere.
Re. putting them on site... go to the geographical area they belong to... click "new site" ...read the guide lines and post! If you make a mistake, don't worry, the full weight of the web masters and the contributers will fall on you from a great height ;;;)

Welcome aboard madelaine,

I think you did really well to find that the site was already on TMA (and under a different name). I certainly remember duplicating the odd site when I was doing my first posts and thinking 'doh' afterwards.

What do you think about the condition and management of the hill fort? I notice that it's owned by the National Trust. I'm a Council member of the Trust and particualrly interested in ancient sites and how we are managing them. There are loads of 'unsung' sites like this that people don't realise the Trust are trying to protect.
