I'd like to petrol stihlsaw this dreadful sculpture, near to the base, and then rename it 'Fallen Angel'.

It's based on something from the Third Reich - allegedly ...

The protestors got a good photograph though.

Well, actually, I'm a bit of a crusty but I think it's stunning. And isn't pulling statues down a bit fascist? (Not to mention Monuments!)

As for the Real Countryside Alliance, more power to their Neanderthal elbows, I say. Extremists always ruin their own case.
