You spotted the flayed remnants of the Ridgeway south-west of Alton Barnes Farm at SU108 616? I think that south of that, it has been swallowed up - or merged - with old paths that are now roads/lanes etc. Somewhere in the thriangle of valley floor between Honey Street Farm (SU103 610) Limber Stone Bridge (SU083 589) and Wilsford (SU101 571) is the "missing" portion that would link the Marlborough Downs with Salisbury Plain and the South.... now that would be a fine perambulation to contemplate.....especially on such a lovely autumnal day like this......
