Landrovers are the best off-roader, so they get used recreationally a lot...

Round our way there are a lot of people (a lot of Brummies) who come into the area specifically to drive off-road. They don't give a f**k about what they leave behind, or who they endanger. It really pisses me off, especially the bikers, because they go a lot faster than the 4x4 lot and make a hell of a lot of noise.

We live opposite some Common land, and the bikers come along and use it like a playground. This is already illegal (1998 Road Traffic Act I believe) but it doesn't stop them. Who's going to police it? I approached someone who was doing it during the F&M restrictions and nearly got punched for my troubles. What loverly people!

there's the same problem with bikers (ie dirtbikes) and mountainbikers. There has been quite a few instances of dirtbikes using MTB trails especially at Glentress near Peebles. We're (mtbers)asked to report them but there's really not much anyone can do as it's open forest. Saying that we use downhill tracks that the dirtbike boys have created, but the MTB forest trails are designed for just that- mountainbikes. They'll not take the hammering that the dirtbikes give em.
