I've fired off a query to the parks archaeos re scheduled consent etc. Hopefully they'll have a quiet word.
As the circle is on private non open access land with no footpath in that field, I presume the farmer is fed up of trespassers.

I hope your protest prompts a quick response and some action; I'm hoping to visit the week after next. Surely he can't be allowed to get way with what amounts to tampering with a scheduled ancient monument. I wouldn't have thought the level of trespass was that bad, certainly no more than other landowners with similar monuments on their land tolerate. It's been there a bloody sight longer than him. I'll happily add to your complaint if you give me the link/address.

We asked at the farm nearby once, they said they didn't own the land but were happy to give permission on behalf of the farmer who did. That was a few years back mind you.
