Heh! It could be just the excuse that me and Mrs G need to get away from Old Ma G (who is disabled but LOVES stone circles and whatnot so would have to take her to some more accessible ones on a different day). She mentioned last time that she wouldn't mind getting back to Housesteads, which is just next door, innit? We could leave her there, looking at all the Roman cack and go trundling off across t'moor...

I love what Hob showed us of Northumberland on our last visit - I just KNOW Old Ma G (she's not that old really - please don't tell her I said that!) would absolutely LOVE Roughting Linn! And they don't come much more accessible than that...

Ahhhhh...

G x

yeah I think if I was to go to up ont common I'd park at Housteads, not been before though so I bet you'd have to pay... Or somewhere nearby then ;)

Yeah Routin Linn definitely wheelchair accessible! So is the main one at Lordenshaws, if you feel fit enough to push her uphill on grass... not too bad I wouldn't have thought, on a dry day when the ground's hard. I've seen buggies up there.

another one would be Castlerigg but the ground's a bit softer...
