In my quest to turn every journey out of town into an ancient site discovery mission I often feel marginally marginalised by friends and family- like a trainspotter might in his quest for train numbers. The thing that strikes me about this forum- for all the disagreements occasional tetchiness and dissection of each others comments- all are united in a common fascination with the work of our ancient forebearers. And I think thats bloody good for what its worth
