Bloody Golf

Same as Hollingbury fort in Sussex. Loads of barrows now incorpotated into a golf course.

Also Bolton golf course. Three or four tolmens broken off at the shoulder.

The same applies to wildlife usually ...

And at Therfield Heath. You have to dodge across the fairway (probably wrong word) to get between the round barrows and the longbarrow. Maybe it keeps them safe from people building houses, like the army alledgedly keep the salisbury plain wildlife happy (when they're not blowing it up). But I bet half the golfers just think the barrows are semi- mature bunkers. Why don't they just cover golf courses in artificial turf and be done with it.
