Glad you had a good trip,
I was at Holy Island yesterday, first time there with the tide in, which was nice. Thought I'd have the place to myself but lots of people had the same idea on a bank holiday...

Vindolanda eh... I haven't been there since I was about 10 ha!

Maybe next time you can pay the stones a visit too ;-)

Hello!

Thank you very much! I feel I have to apologise, in a way, to people on this site, but I DO enjoy a bit of Roman! Not as much as proper old stuff, but it's better than nowt!

Which stones are you referring to, by the way? Anything like that would make my next trip up there more bearable!
