I also read that DNA from 1000+ year old Derbyshire bones is much the same as contemporary Derbyshire bones... so there. We're a resilient lot!

What I find amazing is the fact that this stuff was found underneath a layer of calcite and covered with graffiti. Some eye them fellas have.
Must admit tho' it's great to see this stuff turning up in Britain hopefully as time passes, more will come to light.
