If you're coming to Uffington on Saturday (hope so!) just a reminder that the rendezvous time is 1pm at the head of the White Horse, where treaclechops and I will be sitting waiting for you. In the event of shite weather, the venue will be a different 'White Horse' - the fine hostelry in Woolstone, just 1 mile from the hill.

We're dropping down into Calne first, but will be there.

Whta's best parking for Mikki? The big NT Car park, or can we carry on up to the Ridgeway and park at the fort? Is there disabled parking up at the top, do you know?

1st day of the school holidays and both of my kids have gone down with heavy colds, so its unlikely I will be venturing out this weekend.

I even brought new strings and handles for 2 of my favourite kites specially for the occasion. Hopefully next time.

I hope you all had a lovely time. I'm very annoyed that I couldn't go. I'm sorry I didn't contact you Jane, I wasn't in work at the end of the week and I was too stupid to think about it beforehand. On Saturday I was standing crossarmed in the window of the cheese emporium and it was just pissing down in Bath so I realised you lot would probably be already half cut in a pub somewhere.

I feel all sad now.

But NEXT TIME I will be there I assure you. Of course, all you people could all potter over this direction next time and we could have a happy outing at one of the many delectable sites round here.
