Because after its been pillaged the Finds will end up in a box in Devizes museum and there will be another tourist attraction for visiters to trash.
Most importantly ITS THE LAST ONE!

Anyways, Silbury still needs fixing and I would like to see an excavation at Silbaby. It may be rubbish, it maybe Roman or maybe something much older.
We know a lot about Longbarrows but very little about these type of mounds.
There is another one in Mount woods near Compton Bassett that hasn't been investigated either.
