With rumours afoot on the possible closure of West Kennet Long Barrow is it not time to re-examine the opening of East Kennet? Never! I hear the conservatives howl but why shouldn't East Kennet now be opened?

There are plans afoot and I shall be strongly against it.
It is the Only barrow left in the country known to have bodies in and should be left alone.

Actually, does anyone know the reasons why it apparently *has never been touched? It's not like it's obscure or in an inaccessible unknown place. And the area has always been swarming with antiquarians and archaeologists..
