It has been a few days since The Sillbury Hill incident, since I wrote my viewpoint, and since the Editor made his response. I read the site material, which was excellent by the way, and I gave my opinion. The Editor responded with his. Tou'che....thats it. End of story. I did not re-write the Editor or in any way attempt to begin a dialogue or debate over the various issues I originally responded to, nor did the Editor re-write me. I gave my opinion, he gave his. I will not tell anyone to F**K off or even validate this obvious attemp to curry my wrath in E-mail. Get a grip dude. I dont even know who you are,...the letter wasnt written to you, and a response was already dispatched by the person it does concern. I dont know why you chose to internalize this thing and why you feel personally violated as you obviously do, but rest assured on this...I do not want to start getting letters from every armchair anthropologist, archaeologist, member of the board or whatever it is you all have over there. By the way, I personally happen to love the Mother country, and have a deep respect for the "OLD ways", ...I think its sad how the world seems to be changing everywhere you look, people too...
Bottom line, if previous attempts proved unfruitfull, there is likely nothing in there (Sillbury). Have a dig and find out.....Dont debate it to death. And , if it turns out to be just a big pile of dirt...Then Bulldoze it.
