Years ago Four Winds suggested everyone here go to local sites and record solstice sunrises - but it didn't happen. It would have been a really good community archaeology project beyond the resources of the professionals.
I've mentioned some of them , the Avebury example in particular was well recorded .
The solstice sunrise pics probably slowed down when people realised that the "alignments " were rarely aligned on anything noteworthy , and anything noteworthy i.e. prominent horizon hill saw the sunrise or sunset on a date that was not "auspicious " .
