I agree the signs could do with being re-written but its tricky.Saying its private property might cause people to go up as a political gesture. (Whereas its private property because it was bought to protect it of course).

Left to me the signs would say - if you are concerned about activity on the Monument please ring Devizes Police on XXXXXXXX.
