Pete, show me a graphic that you have, that I can walk you through, step by step in Photoshop.

But in explicit terms, it will be:
1. Enhance, Contrast to +15, Brightness to get as much grey shadow as possible. Nothing too bright to wash out the shadows. Color shading is your target.

2. Hue/Saturation, or Control U, Saturation to+70, then slide the Hue back and forth to find the most differentials in the color shadows.
One color may hide certain features, and highlight others, so their is no one answer. The Hue is the key feature.

Having explained this, Pete, it still won't work for you, will it.

And you are right, I have no friends at all, my wife kicks me out of bed, is shagging the chauffeur (named Hugh, by the way), and my dog bites me on the leg. One inch more, I would have been King, one inch less, Queen, Pete, I can't get no respect at all.

So there, you win.

you wrote "So there, you win."

sorry I don't understand, what do I win?
There's a prize of some sort?
I only asked you two questions, both of which you have avoided answering.
