Re: the Ridgeway.
When I lived in Sussex I found the remains of a Celtic temple behind Lancing college.
Local research found a book that said the Ridgeway passed close by and continued to Cissbury rings and on up towards Stonehenge. The other direction continued to the Wilmington Long Man.
