Silbury Hill 180

I have'nt added my 2ps worth to this, basically because of the very large cavity on top of Silbury, very depressing, and the fissure that now runs down over the tunnel. The weather has been very wet in this part of the world recently, torrential downpours are not going to help, and I expect there will be more damage sustained because of water getting in.
Forgiving the 19th century 'sins of the treasure hunters'- nope, forgiving the 20th century 'seekers of information?'- nope, and the 21st century guardians assuring us that everything is alright - nope.
History .... how come it managed to get by the romans, saxons and medieval period without any damage? though the saxons might have levelled it slightly - who's to say. Silbury managed 4500 years to stay solid and upright, it doesnt look so solid today.....
