The preoccupation with Richard "Surprise Package" Atkinson and his appalling work pisses me off though. Sooner or later someone at EH has to stand up and tell the truth about the guy.

We were told the primary mission was repair not research (though some of us had and have huge doubts about that) yet here we are more than five weeks into the project and how much have any of us been told about the state of the hill, the number of collapses, the cubic metres of material involved etc etc etc etc etc.

Stability and collateral damage was THE central issue in planning this project and indeed, its the central issue for all of us, full stop. T'would be nice to hear about it. Tobacco tins and flints can wait.
